My First DevFest Event

My first DevFest was in the year 2013. I just recently discovered Google Alert. So in trying it out, I put in an alert for 'Google event'. Due to my habit of sleeping late, I was up that night and saw an alert for a Google event in Ife for the same day.

I was surprised. How can there be a Google event in Ile-Ife without me knowing about it. So I probe further and saw it was DevFest Ife. I tried registering for the event, but the form was closed.

Hmmmm... what do i do now? I just did some thinking, that since previous events I had attended where in the AITI Lab in my schools computer building, this will not be different. I checked the time for the event that day and tried my luck.

Lo and behold, I was right. Thank God I was allowed for the event without pre registering. Even though most of what was discussed that day were totally new to me, I did not give up. Fortunately for me I got a branded Google t-shirt and two food pack home that day. Lol
